You can not believe that Sony Pictures Entertainment could do this goof-up!
It just released the entire film, instead of the trailer. It was to be the trailer of the movie, “The Khali the Killer”, but, it turned out that it’s the entire movie, which is available for YouTube viewers
Yes, it was mistakenly uploaded on the YouTube page of the company, which is used for publicity purpose only.
Incidentally, Khali the Killer was released on DVD at the end of last year. The film is scheduled to be screened in theatres from August 31 onwards, according to sources.
The movie deploys the period between the 1910s and 1940s. It follows Shaggy (Diogo Morgado), a feared killer in the state of Pernambuco. Raised by a local bandit Seven Ears (Deto Montenegro) who once found him as an abandoned baby, reared him up in the wild manners. He is completely isolated from the human touch. When he grew up, he visits a city to look for Seven Ears who had gone missing. Instead, he found a place which was owned by a tyrannical ruler– Monsieur Blanchard (Etienne Chicot). He is a Frenchman who also owns a precious stones trade. Seven Ears was employed with him as an assassin.
A group of fans usually complains about trailers spoiling movies, but it was altogether a new venture. It was intended to offer fans a snapshot of the crime drama With a runtime of about 90 minutes, the upload included the complete movie. The movie was not available in HD version on YouTube.
Sony could not correct its mistake for six hours, and in the meanwhile, the movie clocked over 11,000 views.
Some people claim that the upload was not inadvertent, but is a marketing ploy.
However, an entire movie up for free on YouTube seems does not look an impressive venture. It is more unlikely because Khali the Killer has received a score of 3.8/10 on movie database IMDB.
