Sonali Bendre suffering from high-grade cancer, in the US for treatment

Actress Sonali Bendre herself told her followers that she has been diagnosed with a type of high-grade cancer. She is under treatment for it in New York, US.

Ms Bendre, 43, shared a post on her Instagram and Twitter handles about it. She said she’s fighting her battle at her own.

Bendre revealed the diagnosis as unexpected and unfortunate and said she could not think it was there.

Sonali Bendre clarified in a statement, that she had been diagnosed with high-grade cancer that has metastasized. Her family and a lot of friends have rallied around her, with the offer of the best support which anyone can provide, she feels.

Sonali Bendre is married to producer Goldie Behl. They have a 13-year-old son named Ranveer.

Abhishek Bachchan and Akshay Kumar visited the actress and her family in the Sloan-Kettering hospital, New York where Sonali is undergoing treatment. Her son Ranveer arrived there two days ago.

It may be recalled that days after Huma Qureshi has joined as a mentor in one of the kids’ talent hunt show, i.e. India’s Best Draamebaaz, replacing Sonali Bendre. Bendre used her Instagram account to give an update to her followers.

The 43-year-old Sonali Bendre Behl who is married to filmmaker Goldie Behl and is a mother to their 12-year-old son Ranveer confirmed that she has been diagnosed with metastatic cancer. She also verified the reports that she is currently undergoing treatment in the US.

Sonali Bendre has worked with Aamir Khan, Major Kumar, Amitabh Bachchan and Ajay Devgn. She is also known for her roles in Duplicate and Kal Ho Naa Ho with Shah Rukh Khan. Hum Saath-Saath Hai with Salman Khan is also remembered her one of the nice pictures.

Besides Hindi movies, Sonali Bendre has also acted in a number of regional films. These comprise Kadhalar Dhinam and Kannodu Kanbathellam in Tamil, Shankar Dada MBBS in Telugu and Anahat in Marathi.

Her last role was a cameo in Akshay Kumar’s Once Upon A Time in Mumbai Dobaara! (2013). She performed was opposite Chiranjeevi in Shankar Dada MBBS too.
