It was not even Rajkumar Hirani who could have thought of so much success to his movie “Sanju”.
When he decided to make a biopic on Sanjay Dutt a year back, he was trying just to help cleaning the image of his personal friend. But, contrary to everyone’s belief, the film has broken a number of records in Bollywood.
Moreover, it is such a time when a Salman Khan film has become flat, Hirani has proved the world that if the content is good, and the filming is meticulous, nothing else matters.
Rajkumar Hirani film is usually successful at the box office. This has been proved by his record with his Munnabhai series, PK, and 3 Idiots. His latest film, Sanju which is a biographical movie on Bollywood’s controversial actor Sanjay Dutt.
The movie proved its worth as it is dubbed with the highest opening weekend collection i.e.Rs 120.06 crore in 2018 and still continues its run.
The film had collected Rs 18.90 crore on the sixth day, so the total collection comes to Rs 186.41 crore approx.

It is estimated that the biopic Sanju has shattered quite a number of box office records. It earned a sum of Rs 34.75 crore at the box office on the launch day. Moreover, Sanju has displaced Salman Khan and Jacqueline Fernandez’s costly affair, Race 3 to become the highest revenue collector of the year so far.
Sanju has already broken the record and hype of Baahubali 2 by getting the highest single day revenue for a Hindi film. The Hindi version of Baahubali 2 had managed to collect Rs 46.50 crore on the third day, while Sanju took its figure to Rs 46.71 crore on its third day.
It can be safely assumed now that Sanju has become the seventh film to enter the Rs 100-crore club this year. Others in the elite club are, Padmaavat, Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety, Raid, Baaghi 2, Raazi and Race 3.
Moreover, Ranbir has silenced those movie pundits, who were sceptical about his performance in the biopic. Besides Sanju, the film depends on the cast which comprises Sonam Kapoor, Anushka Sharma, Dia Mirza and Paresh Rawal. Vicky Kaushal and Manisha Koirala too were in their best in the movie.
