Now, the popular entertainment channel of small screen– the Colors TV has ventured out for a show named Mughal-E-Azam. It has already become the hot topic, due to its topic and extravaganza it could offer.

Sheikh had already been an important part of another historical show, Mahabharat. There he impressed everyone with his acting skills.
The work on the casting of the serial is currently on and many names are being considered every day. While the team was still searching for the suitable female lead to play Anarkali, the reports suggest that the team has got the right one.
Sonarika Bhadoria will be the Anarkali of the Mughal-e-Azam if we consider these reports as true. The 1992-born, Sonarika is an actress and model who had performed in various television shows and acted in Telugu cinema. She is better known for her portrayal of Goddess Parvati and Adi Shakti in a serial Devon Ke Dev…Mahadev.
She was born and raised in Mumbai and did her schooling from Yashodham High School. She did her pre-university education at D.G. Ruparel College in Mumbai.
Several actresses were shortlisted for the part, but it was Sonarika who fitted in the bill perfectly. Although she is yet to sign the contract, everything is final.
Sonarika had become a household name after her role as Parvati in the then Life OK’s popular show. Later, she acted as the protagonist on Prithvi Vallabh. It is said that with a number of historical and mythological shows in her list, she will surely do justice to the new serial.
Veteran actress Aruna Irani is likely to act as Hamida Banoo Begum on the show. Confirming it, she said, the role to be a dignified one. She looks dominating yet very emotional in the role.
