Indra of Hanuman Ka Damdar– Kunal Khemu

Kunal Khemu is not visible either on big or on small screen for quite a time now, but if the buzz is to believe he will soon be playing Indra in an animation film.

He made his debut as a child actor appearing in the Doordarshan TV series Gul Gulshan Gulfaam (1987), directed by Ved Rahi. He made his film debut with Mahesh Bhatt’s movie Sir (1993). He went on to star as a child artist in movies including Raja Hindustani, Zakhm, Bhai and Hum Hain Rahi Pyar Ke.

In the poster of his new venture, his character sports the costume of the Hindu God with blue sky and clouds in the background. Under R.A.T. film productions, the film written and directed by Narain will release on May 19. The film’s voice-over has been given by actors like Salman Khan, Raveena Tandon, Makarand Deshpande, Vinay Pathak and Chunky Panda.

In 2015, after an over two-year break, Khemu returned to the screen with thriller Bhaag Johnny about a man who gets to live two lives by the help of a genie, portrayed by director Vikram Bhatt. Though the film began shooting in 2013, it released on 25 September 2015 to mixed reviews and low box office collections.  His second release of the year was the upcoming comedy film Guddu Ki Gun, in which Kunal will appear in the title role.

Kunal Khemu is known more for his wife Soha Ali Khan. Khemu was in a live-in relationship with actor Soha Ali Khan since May 2013. The couple got engaged in July 2014 and got married in a private ceremony in Mumbai on 25 January 2015 in the presence of selected members of Soha’s family.
