The renowned actor of the Bollywood film industry, Kangana Ranaut had been in the news for various wrong reasons in the past. At first, it was the fight with the handsome hunk of the industry Hrithik Roshan. Then came the infamous tweet from her former alleged boyfriend’s father Shekhar Suman.
Recently, a war has commenced between her and the ace filmmaker Karan Johar after the former accused him for promoting nepotism.
Kangana was invited by Karan at his talk show “Koffee with Karan” where she attacked Karan by calling him the “flag bearer of nepotism” someone who is “snooty and completely intolerant to outsiders”. The conversation did not end here. The lady also accused him of running a “Movie Mafia”. These remarks didn’t go down well with Karan and he retaliated while talking at the London School of Economics. He stated, “She was my guest and I had to hear what she had to say. She has a right to have an opinion. When she says ‘Flag bearer of Nepotism’, I just want to say to her, I am glad she knows what it all means. I don’t think she has understood the entire meaning of the term.” He added “if she finds the bollywood industry so bad, she might as well leave it”.
Karan seemed clearly vexed with the remarks made on him and was in no mood let it pass. He also asked her to “stop playing the woman and victim cards”.
In an interview by Mumbai Mirror, Ranaut was quoted saying “Why is Karan Johar trying to shame a woman for being a woman? What is this about the ‘woman card’ and the ‘victim card’? This kind of talk is demeaning to all women, particularly the vulnerable because they are the ones who really need to use them”
Let’s see where this war words end.
